The internationally known Duke Heart Center includes outstanding faculty and resources for the diagnoses and treatment of virtually all cardiovascular diseases. Besides major programs in coronary heart diseases, established programs in valucular heart disease, adult congenital heart disease, perepherial vascular disease, cardiac arrhythmias and heart failure, and transplantations are provided. A recognized program in pediatric congenital heart disease is also present. The Duke Heart Center involves faculty from cardiology, cardiovascular surgery and anesthesia as well as pediatric cardiology. Nurse and physician attendees are widely used and are an integral part of the team.
